If you understand that the authors aim only to help you organise your knowledge and experience in advance of the test, you'll do fine with the assistance of this book. Since the book is made for review, you'll find plenty of practice questions in the text (but no CD-ROM).
Authors Randy Grein and Patrick Brown take on the exam objectives in outline form, beginning (after overviews of the exam and NetWare 5) with the operation of Novell Directory Services (NDS). The process of upgrading existing Novell installations to NetWare 5 is covered, as are the new developments in Internet connectivity (including DNS [Domain Name Service], DHCP [Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol], TCP/IP and Netscape FastTrack Server).
Exam Cram: NetWare 4.11 to NetWare 5 Update also gives thorough coverage to ConsoleOne, along with the other Java capabilities of NetWare 5. Zero Effort Networks (ZEN works) also get a great deal of attention.
